Hennops River in Flood

After days of rain in Gauteng and a few more days to go according to the weather predictions, the Hennops river came down with a vengeance and caused havoc on many roads and most properties close to its banks.

To add insult to injury, Eskom had to upgrade the load shedding schedule from level 4 to level 6, which means that the areas in and around Centurion have been hit with rolling blackouts that have impacted business all over.

The good news is that the dams are filling up and the Royal Elephant Hotel & Conference Centre has been able to keep the lights on and the doors open for business. Both for our function venues, as well as the Zagora Grill room!

So if your lights are off when you get home tonight, come to the hotel and enjoy one of Chef Andrew’s amazing dinner creations!
